K-12 Whole School Training and Consultation
Designed for individual schools, or a small cohort of schools, this year-long professional professional development and consultation series moves school champions along their journey towards becoming a trauma-informed school community. Given that systems change is a 2-5 year process, a typical engagement process looks like:
First Year of Engagement
The program kicks off with a dynamic summer intensive (4-6 hours), followed by four targeted professional development sessions (1.5-2 hours each) and ongoing monthly consultations for administrators, educators, and student support professionals. The summer intensive introduces the six guiding trauma-informed principles and establishes a shared language and framework to address trauma and stress within the school community. Delve deeper in follow-up professional development and consultation sessions, exploring practical, immediately applicable trauma-informed practices tailored to diverse school roles. Participants also gain access to our online toolkit.

Second Year of Engagement
The program provides foundational training on the guiding trauma-informed principles for new school staff (4-6 hours) and ongoing monthly consultations for administrators, educators, and student support professionals. This program works closely with a team of champions at each participating school to assess school-wide policies and procedures and develop an implementation plan to strengthen school-wide policies and procedures towards a trauma-informed lens. Optional follow-up professional development and in-person individual coaching opportunities are also available.
